SACS CONNECT Edition V12 | 1.5 Gb

Bentley Systems Inc is pleased to announce the availability of SACS CONNECT Edition V12 (build 12.00.00.01), is an integrated finite element structural analysis suite of programs that uniquely provides for the design, fabrication, installation, operations, and maintenance of offshore structures, including oil platforms and wind farms.

SACS V12 CONNECT Edition release includes enhancements including:

- Collapse Enhancements
The Collapse program has been enhanced to include the effects of both large rotations and large deflections. As a result, the program is now able to predict very large deformations. The Arc-length Iterative approach has been added to help predict unloading behavior at local and global limit points. An automatic sub incrementation scheme is included to improve the convergence rate and to avoid multiple runs.
- SCF Determination from Hotspot Stress extraction using FE Analysis
Automatic Stress Concentration Factor (SCF) Extraction - The Joint Mesh program has been enhanced to automatically generate a mesh and POST input file to be used to determine SCFs. The meshed joint is automatically inserted into the global SACS model which allows the user to include flexibility of the structure for SCF calculations. The SACS POST program has been enhanced to calculate the 'Hot Spot Stress' and SCFs. Precede has been enhanced to display 'Hot Spot Stress', nominal stress, and SCF labels.
- Add Eurocode 1993 code check for Circular Hollow Section
Added Eurocode 3: 2005 code check option for tubulars.
- Update dynamic response documentation
Update dynamic response documentation to clarify the PRST and PRSC combination method. Current documentation states the modal responses results in all positive stresses which isn't correct. Documentation should state that the stress could either be positive or negative, so the PRST/PRSC combinations are required. Also added documentation for Harris spectrum coherence function calculation as the reference for the equation is not easily obtained.
- Show results for multiple load sequences in Collapse View
Collapse View can now show the results for multiple load sequences.

About SACS. SACS is an integrated finite element structural analysis package of applications for the design of offshore structures. The automated workflows and graphical interactive redesign capabilities improve project efficiency. SACS includes the latest offshore structural design standards for offshore structure compliance. The unified analysis environment enables the efficient exploration of alternatives and optimization. By using Bentley's scenario services cloud computing capability, users can drastically decrease the run time for analysis types requiring thousands of time history analysis for fatigue and strength design for offshore wind turbine platforms. SACS has a comprehensive interface to Bentley's ProjectWise application allowing users to collaborate on projects from multiple locations.

About Bentley Systems, Incorporated. Bentley is the global leader dedicated to providing architects, engineers, constructors, and owner-operators with comprehensive architecture and engineering software solutions for sustaining infrastructure. Founded in 1984, Bentley has nearly 3,000 colleagues in more than 45 countries, $500 million in annual revenues, and, since 2001, has invested more than $1 billion in research, development, and acquisitions.
